Get Your Tights Out
Tights are no longer just for the 3 year-old ballerina heading to dance class or the Sunday church-goer. Tights come in all shapes, forms, and fashions - and they are one of the best accessories for fall.
simple, classy, black stripe down the back
pretty textured fishnets (not of the tacky kind) on miss Olsen
colors! colors! colors!
accents - here a wonderful kneepad embelishment
art deco
polka dots!
leather panelling
Add some tights to your wardrobe this fall + winter. So many ways to wear them.

So here is my dream...
After living in New York this summer I was absolutely infatuated with the New York Metlife Insurance Building. It is my dream to live in it. And I'm not kidding. Every time I saw it I would say, "Ohhhh!" Probably got obnoxious for some... But not this girl.
I love that it is so classy but still has that little bit of sparkle I need. I want my bedroom to be that top gold cap! Oh, if it were true!

So beautiful even back when they were building it...
And it's the best at night.
This would be my den.
(This is not a picture from the actual building, but this is how I would envision our lives together...)
Siiiiigh.... So wonderful

Nashville Fashion Week
Last week, I had the opportunity of helping in the press and media department of Nashville Fashion Week. 5 nights, 25 designers (including Christian Siriano), and a special Kelly Cutrone appearance: The week was a massive success. Here are a few of the pictures I have to show for my hometown's inaugural fashion week!
Sadly, I was only able to work Thursday, Friday, and Saturday because of school... The nights I missed:
Night 1: The Pinnacle Building
Designers included: Jamie and the Jones, Akiko, Sylvia Heisel, Kevork Kiledjian, Loretta Jane
Night 2: The Arcade
Designers included: Melissa Tabor, T. Rains, Gado Gado, Betsey Johnson, Ben Sherman
Night 3: Crystal Fountain Church
Designers at this venue included: Olia Zavozina, White Rabbit, Cooper by Courtney Warren, Union of Angels, Christian Siriano.

Day 3 : Kelly Cutrone at The Belcourt
Kelly Cutrone, PR trailblazer and author of "If You Have to Cry, Go Outside: And Other Things Your Mother Never Told You" spoke to Nashvillians on Friday morning at the Belcourt Theater in Hillsboro Village. An amazing speaker with an amazing life story, Kelly can do no wrong.
I was told to get Kelly her latte and two waters from Fido - I was terrified that I might have a The Hills-esque blow up if the order were to be incorrect... But thankfully, it was smooth sailing and it was so great to meet and talk with Ms. Cutrone. (A highlight of my week!)
Day 3: The War Memorial
It was a beautiful and romantic venue!
Designers that showed their pieces included: Coquette, Norma Clare, Julianna Bass, Katharine Kidd, Gustavo Cadile
Coquette swimwear
Andrew Ripp and his wife performing at the Farmer's Market after party
Day 5: The Pinnacle
Designers included: Aman Stovall, Valentine Valentine, Leona, Robert Graham, Steven OO
