Edie Sedgewick - Do you think people will remember us?

I've always been inspired and fascinated by the complicatedly beautiful Edie Sedgewick.

She was born to an extremely wealthy and equally dysfunctional family in Santa Barbara, Ca. Although she was extremely flawed I believe that this is only what added to her beauty... and what may or may not have been the factor that attracted artist, Andy Warhol, to her.
After Warhol "discovered her" and began to use her in his pieces was around the time when Edie's drug addiction began to swell and later led to her demise.

She was often called the "poor, little rich girl"

She was Andy's "Factory Girl"

Eccentric, charismatic, beautiful, and yet distorted

Known for wearing black tights, stripes, bulky black eyeliner, colossal chandelier earrings, pixie hair-cut a waif-like figure with a cigarette and drink in hand

Andy: I wonder if people are going to remember us?
Edie: What, when we're dead?
Andy: Yeah.
Edie: Well I think people will talk about how you changed the world.
Andy: I wonder what they'll say about you... in your obituary. I like that word.
Edie: Nothing nice, I don't think.
Andy: No no, come on. They'd say, "Edith Minturn Sedgwick: beautiful artist and actress...
Edie: ...and all around loon.
Andy: ...Remembered for setting the world on fire...
Edie:...and escaping the clutches of her terrifying family...
Andy: ...Made friends with eeeeverybody, and anybody...
Edie: ...creating chaos and uproar wherever she went. Divorced as many times as she married, she leaves only good wishes behind.

laughs

Edie: That's nice, isn't it?

xx,

Caroline
